Day 2 started with a bang, or a drilling to be correct. Our hotel was going through some refurbishment work and it definitely got us out of bed for early start and trip to the palace of versarille. We turned up to the palace and it was a perfect sight in snow. The beautiful gold gates were so inviting and strolled up to the palace to get out of cold.

We wondered through the rooms and every one was as grand as the last. My favourite rooms by far were the ones with the crystal gaint chandeliers and mirrors. From the gold gilded windows you could see the snow had dusted the gardens and made them more picturess then ever.

For lunch we ventured out of the palace and found a lovely cafe to eat at close by. As everyone was cold and tire from our early start we went back to the hotel to have a little rest before heading into paris for our first night out. We went to this beautiful bar called de la ville cafe, with amazing tiled ceilings and a shabby chic vibe. At the back of
the bar was area made from wood, with red seats and animals heads. After a few glasses
of wine, we thought we better actually get some dinner so we went to the restaurant
next door for some turkish food and had more wine and the conversation flowed. We
went back to the bar for a few more drinks and then decided we should get back to the
hotel before the metro stopped running.
